About Relationships in Faith

Relational Values Alliance supports initiatives across several faith communities in the United States and overseas. Along with our faith partners, we work to cultivate a relational values culture in all communities where every person is treated according to their inherent worth and value. We work together to promote a culture where key relational needs like acceptance, respect, appreciation, and security are given to everyone through caring connections and meaningful relationships.

An important corollary in this work is that when the inherent worth of any human being is not acknowledged or affirmed, bad things happen. In contrast, when a community does acknowledge and affirm the inherent worth and value of its members, good things happen.

RVA’s efforts across the faith perspectives include initiatives such as:

  • Highlighting the commonalities of every human, rather than highlighting the differences.
  • Prioritizing the dignity and worth of every human.
  • Acknowledging differences between us but equipping individuals with communication skills that minimize conflict.
  • Preparing next-generation leaders with cross-cultural and bridge-building skills.
